#2 – Sports Drinks

Don’t get us wrong. Sports drinks are just what professional athletes need after a highly intense workout. They drink these because it helps them replenish all the electrolytes they lost due to sweating, as well as to consume a big amount of sugar in order to have energy after the workout. However, if you are not a professional athlete, or don’t do extremely intense workouts, chances are that you won’t have any need for sports drinks. Stick to regular water, because sports drinks will only make your body overload on sugar and usually contain curious ingredients such as Acesulfame-K or Aspartame.
